Fog City Tugboat

Welcome to Fog City Tugboat, where we explore the San Francisco Bay from a different perspective.   We hope you find our adventures unique, our passion for the working waterfront contagious and our want and willingness to create a memorable experience evident. A little about your Captain -I learned to sail at the age of 5, which led to over 50 years of experience on the water, including over 10,000 miles of open ocean sailing in the Pacific, a successful charter operation in the San Juan Islands of the Salish Sea (Puget Sound) over 8 years, and countless hours on San Francisco Bay.  I hold a 100 Ton Near Coastal Master Mariner Credential.   

 

When not on the water, I'm a consultant (U.S. Licensed Custom Broker) companies in need of trade, logistics, customs knowledge and support.  ​If I can share a little of the knowledge I've gained working for ocean carriers, maritime operations, pricing and supply chain optimization, all while floating out at Sea, all the better.

 

My wife and I live on Russian Hill just off Columbus Street, with our faithful lab, Willie.  ​
